Consolidation or also known as oil palm census is an activity carried out to inventory oil palm plants that have died, fallen, or are attacked by pests or diseases. Consolidation is a plant maintenance activity that is first carried out after planting oil palm.

The goal is to ensure that oil palm plantations grow perfectly, erect and grow healthy / normal. In order to achieve maximum productivity, a standard plant density of healthy trees must be reached by the 12th month after planting. Census at TBM 1 (Immature Plants) with insertion being the top priority. From the 14th month to the 23rd month, the census of non-productive plants confirms the trees that have to be removed and inserted by the 26th month.   • To overcome sloping plants because the planting is not dense, do hoarding and provide support if it is difficult to enforce.
  • If the base of the roots is above the soil surface, then the root is done.
  • The root that is planted can be overcome by digging the soil around the base of the roots.
