At the Puskas Arena, Budapest, the inaugural Group F duel for the 2020 European Cup between Hungary vs Portugal was held on Tuesday (15/6/2021) night WIB. This match was watched by fans in the stands, something rare in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Portugal dominated throughout the match. However, the meeting of the Hungarian defense line could not be penetrated by Diogo Jota et al until halftime.

Portugal broke the deadlock in the second half. Raphael Guerreiro scored in the 84th minute. Ronaldo recorded a brace in the 87th minute (penalty) and injury time. The match ended with the defending champions winning 3-0.

With this result, Portugal leads Group F standings with three points. There is also Hungary sitting at the bottom of the standings.
