PT Beiersdorf Indonesia (Hansaplast) Donates PPE for Medical Personnel Against Covid-19

To help protect medical personnel who are at the forefront in fighting the spread of the corona virus (Covid-19), Hansaplast took the initiative to hold the Hansaplast Sharing program to help provide personal protective equipment (PPE) through partnerships with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI).

PT Beiersdorf Indonesia's President Director, Holger Welters said, understanding the magnitude of the effort needed to counter the spread of Covid-19, his party was moved to help in whatever way possible.

"Although there has been assistance from other countries and organizations, the low supply of PPE continues to take many casualties from medical personnel in hospitals, especially in small towns," Welters said in a press statement on Sunday (05/31/2020) .

Welters added, collaborative efforts are needed, both from business people and the community, to be able to make the best contribution in dealing with the corona virus pandemic.

"That is why, we are committed to donating all sales proceeds at Hansaplast official stores such as Tokopedia, Lazada, Bukalapak and Blibli to PMI to be used to help secure the PPE supply needed by medical personnel in a number of hospitals that are currently under-served," said Welters .

The Secretary General of PMI, Sudirman Said, added, efforts to tackle the Covid-19 epidemic require collaboration of all elements of society, including the business world.

"Hopefully it can be an inspiration for other business people to participate, competing to do good. This is a humanitarian mission that would not have been possible without the support of many parties," said Sudirman Said.
