What are the functions of earpods with biometric sensors?

Biometric sensor earpods

As a company that is considered innovative, products with new technology from Apple are always looked forward to. Apple is reportedly developing EarPods that are equipped with a biometric sensor in them.

With this sensor, the EarPods not only function to listen to music, but can also detect heart rate and blood pressure at the same time.

As quoted by plengdut.com from Ubergizmo, this is actually not the first time Apple has developed a sophisticated pair of earphones or headphones. Previously, Apple also patented headphones with a similar design in 2007. The patent description states that these headphones can receive audio signals from media devices or headsets for communication with cell phones. Well, this patent shows EarPods can collect biometric data, including respiratory rate.

Gold earpods

Some time ago, the master of Apple design, Jony Ive made gold EarPods for the elite. These gold plated earphones for iPod and iPhone are the result of a collaborative work between Ive and industrial designer Marc Newson.

Covered in 18 carat gold, this is Apple's way of contributing to charity fundraising. This accessory was auctioned on November 23, 2013 in New York and became part of RED, a charity project initiated by Bono, the vocalist of the Irish band U2 who is known to be active in humanitarian activities.
