Food that can be processed into a prebiotic source is the consumption of bananas. As quoted from the Journal of the Bogor Institute of Technology (IPB), Ambon banana contains essential vitamins and minerals that are very beneficial for health, even though people usually consume them in their whole form. It is known that a high sugar content such as fructooligosaccharide (oligofrucrose) is around 0.3 percent and can be used as a source of prebiotic. Consuming probiotic drinks has many benefits, such as helping with digestive disorders, such as diarrhea and constipation. An imbalanced condition of bacteria in the gut can actually lead to intestinal inflammation, but consuming this prebiotic can help reduce symptoms. Not only that, consumption of prebiotics is also good for preventing bad digestive tract conditions such as diarrhea.
