How many innings are in softball?
Generally in one softball game there are 9 innings. Each innings, the two competing teams have the opportunity to hit (find a score) or known as batting and defending, then this position alternates in the next innings.
There are 9 players in a softball team. The home team will usually be the defending team in the first inning. While the other team at the beginning of the inning get a chance to hit the ball.
The batting team will be declared a score if the player manages to return to 4th base or initial base without being touched by the defending team's ball. Base in softball game there are 3, the last base or base 4 is base 1 where the player starts hitting the softball.
Innings also determine the length of the game. But generally the game of softball lasts approximately 2 hours.
