What is a compound?
A compound is defined as a substance formed from various types of elements that are chemically bonded to each other and have a fixed composition. There are several names of compounds that are known in everyday life, namely trivial names or trade names and also names of compounds that are compiled according to IUPAC (International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry) rules.
Nomenclature of inorganic compounds
In general, the nomenclature of inorganic compounds is divided into 3, namely:
- Inorganic Binary compound nomenclature, divided into two namely
- non metallic metal binary inorganic
- nonmetal and nonmetal binaries inorganic
- Polyatomic compound nomenclature inorganic,
- The nomenclature of acids and bases is divided into 3 parts, namely:
- acid compound nomenclature inorganic
- the nomenclature of base compounds
- the nomenclature of salt compounds
